康宜（李康宜饰）是个生活在基隆的漂亮女孩，底层生活的艰辛使她早熟。父亲和继母都是盲人，弟弟是个智力障碍患者。在康宜的协助下，父亲和其他盲友经营着一家盲人按摩院。 在一个偶然的机会，康宜结识了来自台南花莲的小伙子阿平（范植伟饰），对方是一个小黑帮的人，刚刚搬到康宜家住的这栋楼里。康宜主动、坦诚地向阿平表达自己对他的好感，阿平开始还有些勉强，但后来两个人还是幸福地走到一起。黑暗并没有就此消散，后来阿平卷入黑帮的争斗中，微弱的光芒能否到来？
Plot Summary:Kang-Yi is a teenage girl who lives in an apartment building in the port city of Keelung. Most of her family, and the people in the apartment, are blind, and she helps them out. Ah Ping, who was brought up on the mainland and only speaks Mandarin, comes back to Taiwan after dropping out of military academy. He stays in the same building, and starts to date Kang-Yi. This annoys one of her classmates, who claims she is his girl, and he gets his gang of thugs to bully Ah Ping.
